"Sadly a majority amount of people misunderstood the theory of evolution and mock Darwin unnecessarily, instead of mocking at the theory without studying about it;one should try to understand what the theory really is about! No it's not solely about Monkeys and Humans,it's about a fundamental property of life as it keeps spreading over space and time. The original book from the original theorist Darwin might provide one a better intuition to how he came up with such a theory. But personally I still didn't complete it and the English here is bit old type so I had some difficulties reading it,so I would suggest more new yet and great books on evolution rather than this. But if you wanna check the roots, you might try it out."

"Such a freakin' genius! and the saddest part is, that his "science" literally killed him. if you've read a lot in Darwin (as I have) you come to understand that as a religious man, his studies seriously conflicted with his beliefs. I hate it when I hear someone say that Darwin says, "we come from monkeys." because that is not the case. His theory is on EVOLUTION, not monkeys. all he wanted people to understand was adaptation and survival of the fittest is really a simple concept, and daily life- proves just that."

"On the Origin of Species, published on 24 November 1859, is a work of scientific literature by Charles Darwin which is considered to be the foundation of evolutionary biology. Its full title was On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life. For the sixth edition of 1872, the short title was changed to The Origin of Species. Darwin's book introduced the scientific theory that populations evolve over the course of generations through a process of natural selection. It presented a body of evidence that the diversity of life arose by common descent through a branching pattern of evolution. Darwin included evidence that he had gathered on the Beagle expedition in the 1830s and his subsequent findings from research, correspondence, and experimentation."
